My company requires that all training material be created with a standard template. Is there a way that when I open powerpoint, my template will already be loaded instead of plain white slides? Please adivse and thanks again for your help.
Your player templates are stored in your .PPTA file, so when collaborating with other authors on a project, first make sure you've published your project at least once, then simply send the source .PPTor .PPTX file and the associated .PPTA file to the other authors. When others open the project, they’ll have access to the custom player template used in the project. For more information on creating and using player templates, check out this article.

I do not believe I was clear with my question. I am familiar with player templates in Articulate. My question is simply when I open powerpoint to create a presentation, it opens with a single, blank, white slide. I would like that when I open powerpoint, my company template (with color scheme, etc), is in place instead of the blank white slide. Please advise. Thank you.
Sorry about that! So, you'd basically like to set a default slide design to appear each time you create a new file in PowerPoint. Correct? I'm not sure how you'd be able to do this. I believe you'd still have to at least import into the file each time. What you could do, though, is create a default file with the design you like and simply use that as your presentation temple.
So, say for example I need to make 5 presentations, but with all the same information or designs on the initial slides. I could make one file, apply all the features to it that I would like to carry through to the other files and save it as "MyDefaultProject". Then, instead of going into PowerPoint and creating a new file, I'd just open this specific file. Then, I could create a new copy of the file by using "Save As". I can continue to work on that presentation making all the modifications I need for that specific presentation. The original file won't be altered and I can use it again for any other presentations I'd like to use with the same style or content. I hope this makes sense
Let me know how this works out for you, or if you're able to find any other methods that suit your needs.
To do this you would need to replace the file 'blank.potx' with a new template with your own colours/formatting etc.
To find this file you would need to look under C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates (for Windows XP), will be different for Windows 7/vista etc. Create and save your own template over this one- you will need to name it 'Blank.potx' to replace it.
There are instructions on Microsoft ( http://support.microsoft.com/kb/278549) site on how to do this- or try googling 'change default powerpoint template'
