Saving Presentation as a Video

Oct 03, 2012

Hi. In Powerpoint I can use FILE / SAVE & SEND / CREATE A VIDEO to create a video of my presentation which I intend to insert in the Navigation panel of Presenter.

I'm able to create the video, but the audio I created in Articulate for my slides doesn't play.  I have a nice-looking video with no sound.  (The sound plays perfectly when I preview the slides in Presenter.)

If someone knows something that could help me with this, I'd appreciate it a lot.

Hi Judy,

I believe PowerPoint won't pick up the audio you created in Presenter when creating a video through PowerPoint. How long is your course video? Would Screenr or Screenr Business be an option for you? Screenr is a free, web-based resource provided by Articulate that allows you to record screencasts for use in various environments. You can use Screenr to record a screencast, download the resulting MP4 movie file, and insert it into your Presenter '09 presentation. Here's how.

Peter, thanks so much.  It did occur to me some time after I posted that probably the only thing  a video of a PPT presentation would have is the ppt audio.

Screenr is a great Idea!  Do you know if I can size a Screenr video so it is longer than it is wide so it  will fit much more of the Presenter window in the published presentation?
