saving template from project

I have an articulate package that was delivered to me from a vendor. I want to edit the template and I can't figure out how to access the orginal template sent with the package. I can see the template when I open the .ppt (see attached) but when I try to create new from existing it doesn't show up in the list. I have also tried to edit the template but when it publishes it somehow creates a new template rather than let me edit the "In Project" version.
Does anyone know how to save the original template in the project to your machine and then edit?

If the template shows as "In Project", you should be able to work with it following the steps in this Articulate Support article.

Hope this helps!
In that window you have showing choose "Save As..." instead. Then give it a new file name. From there, edit away!
Then when you go to the publish window, select your newly save template as the one to publish with.
Nope - save as save's a version of it but it strips out any custom items that were added. Have tried this multiple times and now I can't even go back to the "in project" version. The in project version is no where to be found.
Hey Susan
Are you able to send us the Articulate package you received so we can take a closer look at what you have?
i am now having the same issue - what was the final solution?
Hi Tanya!
Does the information in this article help you? If not, are there any more specific details you can provide about the issue?
Thanks!
