SCORM package not compatible with iPad

Jun 03, 2015

I feel like I have tried everything to fix this problem, so I'm really hoping I can find some answers here or I'll have to go through the painstaking ordeal of recreating all my courses (over 30) in a different SCORM software.

First of all, I have Moodlerooms and my site uses an adaptive bootstrap theme and by all accounts should be completely adaptive to all devices.  However, I have had many issues with iOs products - specifically iPad - not being able to play SCORM files from the site.  I always publish as HTML5 and I've tried using the Articulate Mobile app publishing option, but it doesn't work at all with iPad or iPhone.  It seems like iOs just completely ignores the app.  It says it is downloading but it never becomes available - this after trying it with 3 different iPhones and 6 different iPads including 2 Mini's.  So, I stopped publishing with the mobile app and now iPhones and iPads will open the course but there is about a 20-60 second in the animation synch when the module starts -audio starts way before the animations.  This has never happened on a laptop or android or even Kindle though.  Also, the course typically gets stuck when it comes to a quizmaker quiz.  When you try to submit, it just stalls and won't go forward or back.

I have opened many support cases with Moodlerooms about this issue because initially I thought there was a problem with my LMS.  However, after diving into the issue deeper, Moodle has determined this is a SCORM issue and that there is a disconnect with the file package and what the scorm standards are.  I have attached this information from Moodlerooms in a screenshot.

I'm hoping someone can help because I really love using Articulate ... but mobile compatibility rules these days.

Storyline scorms (1.2) work nicely with moodle I have worked on 3 moodle sites using Storyline content, one of them had over 200 Scorms.  I would test in Scormcloud and as long as it all works go back to Moodlerooms with evidence that it is not the package but is your implementation of the LMS.

Agree with Michael you cannot use the AMP with scorm only xAPI
