I have a lesson that I am attempting to put flash movies in. One per page. The flash files, and powerpoint are all in the same library on the local drive. I got this error message:
The SWF "forecastdata.sxf" contains script with referances to root and may not function properly in the published output.
And the flash movie didn't function when published.

I haven't run into this error myself, but I did find a thread that may help with the problem:

I realize the thread is related to Storyline, but I believe the discussion might help with the SWF files you're working with.
