Search feature in the Forum not working

Jun 21, 2014

Greetings:

I'd like to use the search feature in the forum so I can check previous inquiries before posting a new one.  I consistenly get "no search results."  I've even tried putting in a search criteria based upon a post I can actually view on the current window, thinking that for sure it would find it, since I'm postive it's there.  Nothing.

I tried clearing cookies, refreshing browsers and the like.  Is the search feature not working?

Thanks!

Vince

Unfortunately the search feature is not working properly at the moment.

But if you use a search engine you can get quite good results. Insert your search your keyword + tool + community and you can get results that should help you.

e.g. "player template storyline community"

This should give you the possibility to get deeper insight into your issue.

Not sure this "feature" has ever worked properly - greatly frustrating and every time I try to use it (only to get a "no items matching your search were found" response) a little voice in the back of my mind says "if they can't get the search feature on their own website to work, what else is going to crash?"

Not confidence-inspiring functionality from a software company!

Hi all!

I definitely recommend using Ralf's suggestion - that's what I personally use and I'm searching through the Articulate site all day long. :)

No doubt the search feature on the forums could definitely use a helping hand - we're hoping that the next version of the forums will have a more user-friendly search feature. I've had a sneak peek of the new version and I'm really looking forward to it!

Hopefully we'll have more information on this soon.

Thanks very much and have a great day!

Using Ralf's suggestion and tweaking it a bit, use Google and in the search bar type:

keyword/s site:community.articulate.com/forums/

So for example:

Quizmaker results site:community.articulate.com/forums/

and this will only search the forums for the keywords Quizmaker and results.

I use this method a lot.

Hope this helps
