In the screenshot below, you see the feet of my character hovering above the floor. How can I make a shadow or halo beneath her feet so it looks like she is standing on the floor and not above it?
looks like the shadow is about 20 pixels from the bottom of the image, I would either adjust the shadow properties or crop your png to the bottom of her feet so the shadow touches her feet,
Thanks for your continued help. the shadow was already set at "0" distance so I cropped the png up to the bottom of her feet. This looks somewhat better but still, to me, looks like she is above the floor. I think I need a blurred shape or something for her to stand 'on" that anchors her on the floor but can't seem to gt it right. Any other ideas appreciated.

Jon, if you have ppt 2007, 0r 2010 you can add a perspective shadow, look under picture effects
I have 2010. Good idea but I tried it and it still looks like she's hovering above the floor, but now she's casting a shadow.

you could try an oval shape with soft edges under shape effects
That's what I've been doodling around with but can't get it right so far.
Thanks.
