I am attempting to load a series of course onto a SharePoint site for my client. The issue is that the "external_files" folder which contains the Resource documents is causing an issue. SharePoint considers the "_files" portion to be a special term and will not recognize it. The course runs however the students cannot access anything in the Resources folder.
FYSA - the system has no issue with file names containing an "_", only folders.
Anyone ever seen this issue? What was the resolution? Thanks in advance.

OK. I did some research and based on Microsoft's web site (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/905231), "_files" cannot be used with SharePoint 2013.
Please tell me there is a resolution to this

I'm not familiar with Sharepoint, but I did see another user post a similar issue here, not sure if that resolution will assist you.
