Hi there. I need to share a presenter project with 3 team members that do not have articulate on their computers. Is there some way for me to get to them the project so they can save it to and access it directly from their computers? I have ppt. 2010.
Unfortunately, your other team members won't be able to open and edit the Articulate content without Presenter installed on their computers. You can send them the published output so they can view it, but they wouldn't be able to make any changes.
They would need to either buy and install Presenter, or take it for a free 30-day trial to be able to make edits to your project.
Are you wanting them to have access for edits, or are you simply looking to show them the published content?
If you view a published Presenter presentation on your local hard drive or send it to someone else to view on their local hard drive, you'll encounter security restrictions from the computer, web browser, Flash Player, and network that'll cause various features of your content to fail.
Because of that, to properly test your published content and share it with others, you'll need to upload it to the environment for which it was published, or publish the course for CD. This article should cover everything you need to know, but we'd be happy to answer any questions you might have.
I published CD, then clicked on the "email" option. Should I have chosen the "zip file" option? Or go to file location and zip from there? Once zipped, then email the zipped folder?
Yep, if the file seems too large to email as is, I'd definitely recommend using the built-in, post-publish zip option that Presenter gives you.
Just be sure to instruct the recipient(s) to unzip the contents of the folder, rather than opening the folder itself. Then, they should be able to simply double-click on the .exe file to launch the course.
Oops, left out the "opening" in my previous message (edited now). I was just trying to make sure that the recipient didn't try opening the zip file first, versus extracting the contents of the zip file into a new folder before opening it.

Thanks for the speedy reply. They would not be making any changes...just need to be able to view the project. How do I send them the published output?
Thanks!

OK, that makes it much easier
Thanks!!!! Will read the article now and give it a try.
Hello again. I tried emailing my presenter project but it said that "attachment too large for emailing". Any suggestions? Thanks!!

Hi K,
How did you end up publishing the project (CD, web, LMS)? And were you sure to zip the contents after publishing?

Thanks for your patience!!

Let us know if the zip helps...
Thanks so much! One more question...what is the difference between unzipping the contents of the folder and unzipping the folder itself?
So it works now? Cool!

"Zip 101" kinda stuff
Gotcha...and once unzipped, double click the exe file to open project.
Thanks!
