Show player control buttons only after animation has finished

Sep 07, 2017

Hello,

I have a question I've been trying to solve and hope someone can help me.

I'm using PowerPoint 2016, Presenter 13 and Quizmaker 13, and have a PowerPoint presentation with a couple of quizzes in it. I would like to know if there is a way to force the "next" and "prev" buttons to only appear/work after all the elements on the slide have been animated? At the moment the user is able to skip through the slides when these haven't been all animated.

Thank you!

Hi Ana! Have you tried using Restricted navigation? This means learners can view the current slide and any slide they previously viewed, but they can't use the menu to jump ahead or skip over slides.

You could also lock the player controls for a slide to prevent learners from navigating away too soon. To navigate away from a locked slide, you'll need to provide one or more hyperlinks that jump to other slides in the course, or set the Advance property to Automatically. You can read more about that here!
