Sinhala Language Support in Articulate studio 13

May 12, 2014

Hi,

Can anyone tell me that, "Articulate studio 13" supports "Sinhala" language text ? I am using "Iskoola Pota" font and after publishing the course it is showing junk boxes instead of text.

Please Help

Thanks,

Preeti

Hi Preeti!

Ensure that you have the correct font installed on your system, especially if you'll be using a non-Western language. Even though the font may display properly in PowerPoint, it may not actually be installed on your computer. You can verify which fonts are installed on your system by going to C:\Windows\Fonts.

For the best results, it's recommended that you use a Unicode font, such as Arial Unicode MS.

Also, please make sure you're not viewing the published output locally. If you view a published Studio '13 or '09 presentation on your local hard drive or send it to someone else to view on their local hard drive, you'll encounter security restrictions from the computer, web browser, Flash Player, and network that'll cause various features of your content to fail.

To properly test your published content and share it with others, upload it to the environment for which it was published. Please review the article below for more information:

Hi Christine!

Correct font "Iskoola Pota" is installed on my system.

If I am using Arial Unicode MS Player is Showing junk square characters, you can check the Screenshot 1 for the Same.

I am not viewing the published output locally and it is showing the same issue of spaces and Corrupt text. Refer Screenshot 2.

Please Help.

Thanks

Hi Preeti,

Thanks for the additional information and screenshots!

Are you able to share an Articulate Package of this project, so I can test this on my end as well as on our test servers?

This looks similar to another issue you brought to our attention earlier and I'd like to see if this is related.

Thank you!
