Slide completion - exclude hidden slides
Jun 17, 2011
Hello heroes,
I have a question. I have a presentation with 17 visible slides and 10 hidden slides. Hidden slides contain optional information about the course subject.
I need the course to report "completed" after the user has viewed all main slides. If I put "17 slides" in the course completion criteria, it will report "completed" even if the user viewed only 12 mandatory slides and 5 optional slides, even though 5 mandatory slides have not been viewed.
Is there a solution for that?
Many thanks!
Brian

Pretty sure there is no way using them as slides IN the presentation you can exclude them from the completed slide count.
you could make the optional info external to the course then have them click a button to open the optional content in a new window in whatever format you want.
Hi Brian. Dwayne is correct that you can only track the number of slides viewed, not specific slides viewed and that's a great workaround! Thanks, Dwayne!
