so then does "ColorScheme.xml" get itself INTO player.xml ??

Nov 09, 2013

So for me (Win7), any Player templates DO wind up in

C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Articulate\Shared\3.0\Players as <<MYNAME>>.xml

AND, any COLOR SCHEMES I create/save, turn up in:

C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Articulate\Shared\3.0\Frames\StoryFrame\ColorSchemes  as <<myColorSchemeName>>.xml

NOW, HOW (and maybe even, WHEN) does my colorScheme.xml content wind up withIN the <<MYNAME>>.xml Player template file?

Or does it even matter? (since I really SHOULD be tweaking COLORS from within the "Colors & Effects" stuff ?)

...who is one of those that needs to make a brand new PLAYER.xml & COLORSCHEME.xml (due to the new player UI)....

Good Morning, Alison.

As soon as you apply a Color Scheme to a Player, the contents of the Color Scheme's XML file will be reflected within the contents of the Player's XML file.  To see this in action, simply open both XML files in notepad, copy a chunk of text from your Color Scheme's XML file, and search for that text within your Player's XML file.

Please let us know if you need anything else.  Thanks!

heh. Well actually, that's exactly what prompted me to write in the first place. I had been peeking around the .xml's in Dreamweaver, in side-by-side windows mode. And managed to notice that I was able to align the two files section next to each other, and they managed to match exactly. Which proceeded to BLOW MY MIND.

Thanks for the sanity check!
