Some animations hesitate to finish
Jun 16, 2011
I have been searching the forum for a possible solution to a minor issue I am having with Presenter. So far I have not found what I am looking for.
Occasionally, (and I do mean occasionally), one or more of my animations from PPT will not complete its run. Sometimes it will be a single animation on a slide or the last one of a few on a slide. If I grab the Player seek line and run it back just a small amount the animation will complete. It runs about 99% of the way and stops.
Usually this is with an arrow or line that I want for emphasis. If I go back into PPT and change the animation from Peek In to Fade, all is well. But with motion, I run into this little bug.
It's not a huge deal, but I would like to know if there is a fix.
Thank you.

Hi Eric,
Looks like there are two possible workarounds for what you're experiencing. You can find them here.
Curious to know if that fixes it for you. Let me know. Good luck!
Thanks Peter. The first suggestion I had figured out through trial and terror. The second one though I had not thought of. I went back into my presentation and added an invisible animation as the last one and sure enough, the previous one that was stalling now ran the full course.
Thanks for the tip!
Awesome! Glad it worked!
Just ran into this too. Bummer, but glad there's a workaround. Annotations are looking better and better.
I know what you mean. I hated going back into the presentation and adding the invisible items, but it really cleaned up the entire project once it was published. I am glad it worked for you too!
