Can anyone tell me how this function of Articulate works? Is it based on Cookies? You can be as technical as you like, I'm just trying to find out for someone whether Articulate is the right option for them. I think it is, but need an answer to this question
If you publish a course expecting it to offer the resume option then IME you should play it in the environment it's going to be delivered in, i.e. online (LMS etc) or local.
E.g. all of our courses sit in an LMS, but if I play a draft locally then the resume popup won't appear - so I now use SCORM Player to upload all drafts for testing. That way, I get to test it immediately (without having to wait for the techies to schedule any uploads) and the course should function in true LMS fashion.
We are trying to begin to publish in AICC so we can house our content on an internal server. When you publish in AICC from Storyline is it possible to have a marker prompt you to pick up where you left off? I did some testing and I can not figure it out. I am hoping that I am missing something.

Hi!
If for a LMS, and AICC or sCORM, the LMS usually handles the recording of the bookmark that Articulate sends it (and re-sends at course re-launch).
If not for a LMS, there is a Flash cookie that gets recorded on the user's PC.
Need more than that?
That's perfect thanks Gerry.

Hi everyone! I'm new to this forum. Its valuable.
A follow-up question..
Can I turn OFF the bookmark feature when I launch my tutorial?
We're trying to re-purpose a tutorial and launch it without the bookmark feature.
Thanks,
BArry
hi Barry
You can turn it off in properties and republish, or go into the xml file and set resume to false
Phil
Thank you!
Hello -
We are trying to begin to publish in AICC so we can house our content on an internal server. When you publish in AICC from Storyline is it possible to have a marker prompt you to pick up where you left off? I did some testing and I can not figure it out. I am hoping that I am missing something.
Thanks!
