Step-back from Articulate Studio 13 files to 09?
Jul 16, 2014
Hi we are in the middle of updating a lot of course content originally published in Studio 09 to Storyline.
This is going well, but for reasons beyond our control is taking longer than we had thought it would/should. (I can hear you saying "Welcome to instructional design!").
One of the key reasons to update to Storyline is iPad publishing. However, because of the delays, I am now considering updating one of our Studlio licenes to 13, to basically open/republish the content so that all courses are iPad HTML5/compatible, as we continue the normal update process in the background.
My question is: if we open, publish and save files using Studio Pro 13, will they be accessible via Studio 09 afterward?

When you open a file in Studio 13 it creates backups of your files which can be opened in 09, the `Studio 13 files are not backwards compatible so you would need to use your backup files to edit again in 09.
Thanks Phil! Forewarned is forearmed!
