Studio 360 - Browser sizing issue
Apr 26, 2017
We are currently in the process of moving to Articulate 360 and are on the trial version, but we're seeing an issue with the browser size after publishing and testing on our internal QA site. In Presenter '13 we selected "Resize browser to optimal size" and "Lock Player at optimal size". This gave us the result in the attached Presenter '13 png file. However, when we select these options in 360 we see different results as shown in the attached Studio 360 png file. Any suggestions?

Hi Brett,
Are you only seeing this in the Chrome browser, have you been able to test any other browsers? Where are you hosting your courses (LMS, web server, etc.)? You mentioned an internal QA site, so I'd want to see how it behaves in the final environment too - or a standard like SCORM Cloud or Amazon S3.
Hi Ashley,
Thanks for reaching out. We see this issue in Chrome, FireFox, and IE 11. We use a webserver for our testing. Our QA site is a clone of our website. We did also conduct testing through Articulate Tempshare and didn't see these issues, which led us to believe it may be our server. However, it seemed odd to us that our '13 files don't behave this way, but the 360 do. We tried several different player options with the browser/player size and didn't see the issue go away until we selected the following options:
"Display at user's current browser size"
"Scale Player to fill browser window"
Hi Brett - Have you checked the story size defined for each of these projects? It looks like different projects you've shared here. Interesting that you could not replicate via Tempshare either. Have you done a 1:1 comparison with the same file?
