Support for 16:9 aspect ratios in Presenter

Jul 20, 2012

It seems that Presenter 09 only supports the default page setup in PowerPoint which is On-screenShow(4:3). See this article. However, we use several ppt templates that use a 16:9 aspect ratio, and we'd like to be able to produce playback files in 16:9 aspect ratios, for delivery on YouTube as well as for better playback on modern HD monitors. Any plans for this in the next release of Studio?

Hi Linda

Thanks for inquiring about Articulate Studio '12. It's currently in development and will soon enter beta testing. We don't have a confirmed launch date at this time, and we can't discuss details ahead of launch, but if you'd like to participate in the beta, please send your request to beta@articulate.com, and the beta administrator will contact you with instructions.

In the meantime, you can preview some of the new features in Studio '12 here.

Outstanding! It looks like several things we wanted are being added to '12, and I'd be happy to participate in the beta. Would really love to have that drag-and-drop QuizMaker functionality right now for a project I'm working on with one of my curriculum developers.

For reference, here's one example of how we've been using Studio '09 at Oracle. We have several other such "self-studies" available to the public on Oracle Learning Library.

Looking forward to the beta =)
