Sync issue

Oct 24, 2011

I am trying to sync and have a black screen where my ppt slide should be.  I can see my instructor notes on the right side of the screen and I can hear the audio, but I can't see the ppt slide - it's black.  Therefore, I can't sync.  I checked my add-ins and everything is enabled, I also made sure that I'm on a local drive and I am.  I rebooted as well and nothing seems to be working.  I've been using Articulate for about a year and I've never encountered this problem.  Any ideas?  Thanks!

Hi Peter!  I found the problem but I can't seem to get rid of it.  When I hit ctrl, alt, delete, there is a program running called, AnnotationsX - it has an Articulate logo.  If I end the program, then I can see my ppt screens to sync.  This program runs every time I try to sync.  Now I have another problem, my quizzes aren't working.  I just looked and I don't have the latest '09 version of Presenter.  How do I upgrade to the most recent version?  I'm hoping upgrading will fix my issues.  Thanks!

Hey Tracy,

Yeah, it sounds like your installation may have been corrupted. To upgrade, I can direct you to our free trials download page (the trial version is same as full version) to get the latest software. You'll have to uninstall before re-installing the trial version, and of course you can activate the new update with your current serial number(s). Give it a shot, and let me know if it resolves the issue:

I am having the same issue outlined above. I uninstalled my existing version of Articulate '09, reinstalled using the programs we had downloaded to CD, and am now in deeper than was before. I can't sync at all -- not even unsuccessfully -- because I've installed v 6.0.809.2911 instead of the most recent version, and no updates are available to get me to the most current version of '09. I've seen the link to download the trial, but we're not ready to move to '13 yet. I need to stay with '09. Help!

I've got the product installed on a different laptop now. We inactivated the license on the old laptop. My workstation technician (our IT employee who manages software on our PCs and laptops) inadvertently installed someone else's license and now we can't get it deactivated so we can tie my license to the install. (The other license has been out of commission for the last 15 months, but  we will soon need to start using it again.) Can you help with this issue as well, please?
