I downloaded a template from Tom's blog dated 5/4/2010. When I open the file (I use PPT 2010) everything looks fine, but when I preview or publish, the images that are on the slide master do not show up. In this case it is the image of an office setup with an overhead view. Any suggestions?
Are you extracting the zip file (right-click --> Extract All) prior to opening the .pptx? Double-clicking the .pptx to open from inside the zipped download will not work.

Hi Karen,
Have you tried re-downloading the template to see if that resolves the issue?
If you continue to have issues, can you post a link to the article so that I can test that particular template?
Brian, I downloaded it again today to see if it still behaved the same and it did. Here's the link to the original article:

I downloaded the file using the link right above the Leverage the Master Slides & Layouts section.
Thank you for your assistance!
Karen,
I tested the file you have refered to just to make sure there wasn't something wrong with this file. This file works fine for me in PPT 2010 32 bit.
Note: Presenter is NOT compatible with PowerPoint 2010 64 bit (http://www.articulate.com/support/presenter09/kb/?p=2552)
