Text not appearing on Presenter or Engage

Mar 18, 2014

On Studio '13, I am attempting to put together a Presenter presentation with several Engage documents in it. When I preview or publish the Engage document, the images show up but none of the text can be seen. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Studio '13 software twice and the problem remains.

Hi Veronica and welcome to E-Learning Heroes!

I can see where Shawn did submit a case (00390527), but our support team was not able to re-create his issue.

The following solution was sent to him, but no reply received.

If you are experiencing unexpected issues while working with Articulate, ensure that you are creating, editing, or publishing a Presenter project, from your local hard drive (typically your C: drive). Working from a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, such as file corruption, an inability to save changes you've made to your project, and loss of resources.

Also, the issue is likely related to the installation of Articulate fonts on your system. To resolve this issue, do the following for your version of Windows:

1. Navigate to C:\Windows\Fonts.
2. Delete all Articulate fonts.
3. Go to Start > Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.
4. Double-click Articulate Studio '13.
5. Select Reinstall to repair your installation of Articulate Studio ‘13
6. Restart your computer.

If you need us to take a look at your file, just share your Articulate Package here.

So, the text will not show in Preview Mode from Presenter/Engage/Quizmaker, nor will it show in Explorer if I publish and review the html file. It will show correctly if I publish and review in Chrome, or even when I copy the package over to my Mac and review it in Safari. This is extremely inconvenient, but I'm not sure what else to do from a trouble shooting perspective. I'm new to working on a PC (I typically work on a MacBook).
