"The web object feature on this slide has been disabled..."

Apr 14, 2014

I published an articulate with a Web Object.  The web object is a video out on the internet.  I published as LMS, and on my C: drive it works perfectly, when I move it to a public drive for someone to watch I get the error:
"The web object feature on this slide has been disabled while viewing locally because your browser does not support it."  I am confused on what I am supposed to do.  This articulate isn't necessarily complete but I published it so the "SME" could view it and get his stamp of approval, so I haven't uploaded it to our Learning system yet.

Any info would help, thank you.

Hi Heidi!

If you view published Articulate Presenter content on your local hard drive or send it to someone else to view on their local hard drive, you'll encounter security restrictions from the computer, web browser, Flash Player, and network that'll cause various features to fail. To test your content and share it with others, you'll need to upload it to the environment for which it was published. Here's how.

You may want to try to publish to CD in order for you to share with your SME prior to LMS upload.
