Timing of Animations

I am new, and having a little difficulty with the timing of animations. (I'm using Powerpoint 2007, Windows 7, and Articulate OnLine as my LMS). Basically, I wish to have slides that have multiple animations, some of which appear later than others. I have tried using the Advanced Timeline in Powerpoint to "delay" the timing, and have also tried adding a shape/animation that can not be seen on the viewing slide with a time delay. Unfortunately, the published result does not time correctly (the animations appear too quickly). I am not using audio, so there is no audio to sync it to. Any help about how to approach this would be appreciated! Thanks.

Dana,
Are you utilizing the Articulate Sync Animations tool for this and still experiencing the timings being off?

Dana,
I'm still learning but one thing you may look at using is a Quizmaker blank slide. It has a timeline that you can use.
Try changing them to "after previous" or "with previous". the setting in the publish options overrides the timing if they are set to on click.
Thanks, Dwayne. I was changing them to "after previous" or "with previous". However, in looking at the screenshot you provided, I noticed that you have Publish slides at 30 frames per second. Mine is set at 10 frames per second. Would this impact?
Also, Mike - Did you get my response sharing that I tried using Articulate Animation Sync as one of my ways to correct the issue, but it didn't work for me. Is there a trick to this?
Yes it will impact the actual playback speed of the course. Try adjusting it to 30 and see if that helps. 10 plays faster (3x) faster as the flash file is published out at 30 fps.
So I set up a test: 4 squares to enter using ascend. each one set to 1 second length, spread 2 seconds apart.
at 10 fps, seek bar say it should be 14 seconds, actually it plays just short of 5 seconds actual time.
Setting to publish at 30 fps, screen plays at the correct speed and times out to 14 seconds.
Wow - I think you hit the nail on the head! I just changed this setting and it definitely made a difference. I can't tell you how much I appreciate your wisdom ... I've spent HOURS looking through forums and trying things but couldn't quite figure it out. Thanks for moving me forward.
