Timing on a slide with video

Sep 13, 2012

I can't figure this out. I have a module with 7 .flv videos throughout. Most of them are set to automatically advance to the next slide when the video finishes. All but one work fine. This one has a 15-second delay before advancing, which is unacceptable because my learners are sitting there wondering what to do next. I've tried synching the slide, but that didn't help.

The only difference between this video and the others is this one is very short...only about 10 seconds long. The others are about 30-50 seconds long. Could that be causing the problem? How do I change the timing on this one slide to advance as soon as the video finishes?

Thanks for your help!

Well, I found a solution. I was editing the volume on the audio of the other slides. Even though there wasn't any audio on that slide (because of the video), I noticed the length of that slide was showing 20 seconds, which was about twice as long as it should be. I deleted half of the time length in the audio track, and voila! Now the slide advances automatically as soon as the video is finished.

Thought I'd share this in case anyone else has this issue.
