Timing Out issue

Feb 03, 2012

Hello everyone,

I noticed that Presenter will lock up PowerPoint if the Slide Properties is open for too long, whether to make changes or if I was otherwise distracted. I am using Office 2010 running on Windows 7 and have experienced this on two separate computers. I have concluded that the problem is not a memory issue but something to do with Articulate Presenter.

Whenever this occurs, I have to use the Windows Task Manager to shut down PPT and also stop the Presenter process running in the background. Only after this can I restart and resume work.

Has anyone else experience this issue? If this is not an isolated case with something I'm not doing correctly, please provide me with suggestion to remedy this situation.

Thank you,

Hi Daniel!

Yeah, it's a known issue with PowerPoint, that if you leave Slide Properties open for an extended period of time, you may find that PowerPoint and the Slide Properties Manager become unresponsive. We have a KB article for more information and a solution, but it sounds like you were looking more for confirmation than what to do about it:
