Turn off 'Resume' in published course?

We have several published courses that have been working online (NOT on an LMS, published for web) for several months now and, the client wants the "Resume course?" prompt turned off. Is there ANY way to do that without re-publishing all of the courses? Any chance that's a setting in an xml file somewhere??

We also have to do the same thing with Quizmaker files that we published as well...
