Presenter is constantly asking me to Activate the software, which I do and typically get an error (UI_AdminRequiredNotice along with UI_AdminVistaNotice11) and sometimes it says my Serial Number is invalid. Does anyone else run into this or know of a fix?
I am running Windows 7, Office 2013, and Studio '13.
Thank you for the OS and software version information. Generally, when we see that notice, it's due to a recent upgrade to Windows 8 or 8.1. That's clearly not the case for you, if you're running Windows 7.
This information is for '09, but it may also help:
If you receive a "UI_AdminRequiredNotice: UI_Username / UI_Password" prompt when activating your Articulate software, it indicates that the software was not installed with administrative privileges. You can correct this issue.
Thanks for your quick reply, yes I am running Office 32 bit. I have reinstalled Articulate this morning and will see how it goes today. Happy Holidays...Ke
Does Articulate see how many times I have re-registered my product? I am still having the same problem and have done everything as instructed. It has improved slightly and seem to be having the problem after I publish or if I perform a function (e.g. Import Audio) and a pop up box shows "Updating...". Sometimes I try to click on the slide before the "Updating" pop up box appears and this is when I start getting the "UI" boxes. As always, any help would be much appreciated.
I have just reinstalled it again and still having a problem. It is very aggravating.
I'm sure that there's a registration database, yes - but this isn't something I can access and we're not notified every time someone registers a product. I'm sure that would be a lot of data :)
I'm happy to hear that there's been at least some improvement, but I am sorry to hear that you're still having to work with this.
Out of curiosity, have you tried running the software as an administrator? If not, try right-clicking on the shortcut and selecting "Run as administrator".
You may be prompted by User Account Controlwith the following message:"Do you want to allow the following program to make changes to this computer?"
ClickYes.
Does the same thing happen? If so, it might be a good idea to reach out to our support engineers through a support case. If you do submit a case, you'll receive a confirmation email with a case number. Please try and share that number with me - I'd like to know what the outcome is if possible.
Hello, I am having the same issue. A couple of months ago, I had to troubleshoot the Articulate presente 13 and part of the troubleshooting was to re-install the programs. I am using Quizmaker until now and I am receiving the UI_AdminRequired Notice popup and it is not letting me enter my license information.
I use Office 2010 and IT recently changed my windows to windows 10.
After installing a significant update for Windows 10, such as version 1511, you may see a UI_AdminRequiredNotice error message when you launch your Articulate Studio '13 apps. It just means Studio '13 needs to be reactivated with admin privileges. Here's how.

Can you tell me if you're running Office 2013 32-bit or 64-bit, please?
Currently, Articulate Studio '13 supports 32-bit versions of Microsoft Office, but not 64-bit versions.
