If I uninstall Studio 2013 in order to install a previous version (specifically, 2013 release 3 --> 2013 release 1), will I lose my existing project files? Especially Powerpoint Presenter (.ppta) files?
Uninstalling the software won't remove your project files. They're their own entity and not connected to the tool. However I'm not sure that if they've been used in update 3 they'll be working in update 1. You might want to try it with a copy first when opening a project.
I don't think there will be issues but better safe than sorry.
