Unwanted annotation arrows

Apr 26, 2011

My very simple LMS published presentation shows pointer arrows at random points on some/but not all slides.  Doesn't show up on PPTX before publish.  No Annotations set (but maybe I don't know how to be sure they are cleared?)   So, I'm thinking it is somehwhere in the Player Template - but...   Any ideas?

I haven't been able to view Screenr vid recently - I'm checking with my IT group to see what the problem is.  I just get a blank screen with your note and a reply area.

thanks for your reponse - any chance you could do a steps script to point me there.

I have tried going into the Add Annotations area - and attempting to Re-annotate each slide.  I've also tried the "clear all" button but cannot see any demonstration of whether that works or not - until I publish, then see it's all still there.

Sure Martha, here's what to do:

  1. On the Articulate menu, click Add Annotation.
  2. When the annotation window appears, go to any slide where there's an annotation.
  3. Click the Start Annotation button, and then when the slide starts to play, click Stop Annotation. This removes the annotations from the slide.

If you want to easily locate the slides that have annotations on them, you can click the slide selector in the Add Annotation window, and any annotated slides will have the little icon next to them as shown below:
