URGENT: Inserting Non-Required Quizmaker Quiz

Apr 05, 2013

I hope the Subject to this situation is correct - here is what's going on.

We are working on a course where they want to have one-question quizzes inserted into the course from time to time.  They are not required, but we allow the user to make up to two attempts (if they wish).  What we want to happen (and seems to on ONE of the quizzes, but not on the rest) is the following:

First attempt:

Correct - They get the continue button

Incorrect - They get a continue button AND a retry button

Second attempt:

Correct - They get the continue button

Incorrect - they get just the continue button (no retry).

Somehow we have this set up for one quiz, but can't seem to replicate for the rest...  I have been looking at the settings, both in Quizmaker AND Presenter - and they all seem identical - but obviously, there is something missing...

Can anyone help?

Hi Brent,

Are you certain that the attempt amount and the retry feature are both properly set in the quiz that's not playing nice?

If you've checked in both Presenter and Quizmaker, but the option to retry still isn't showing up, can you share the .QUIZ file here? I can try inserting it into Presenter to see if I run into the same issue.

Thanks!

Hi Christine -

Thanks for the response - and good question!  However, we had had them set correctly.  The one that we did have different from your was the "Allow user to leave quiz" which we set to At Any Time.

And - strangely - all of the quizzes have been set to exactly the same thing - and yet the first one works correctly (with the continue button) and the rest do not...

I am not sure I can upload a quiz at this time - there is some proprietary stuff there that I will need to strip first if I do try to send it.

Any other thoughts?
