Using characters from Content Library in Power Point

Jun 20, 2022

Hi all,

I would like to create images including the characters from the content library. I have installed Articulate Presenter and can see the Articulate tab in my Power Point. However, I cannot seem to add anything to my slide - neither characters nor anything else. Do I need to activate this feature somewhere else or does anyone else have an idea what is blocking my Power Point?

Thanks a lot!

Hi Johanna,

Thank you for reaching out!

I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue when trying to add a character from the Content Library. I'd like to ask a few clarifying questions to help me better understand the issue.

  • When you click on the Articulate tab in Power Point, do you see the option to add Characters, Photos, and Illustrations like in the image below?

  • If you try to insert a character, are you receiving an error message?
  • Is this issue happening with one specific project?

You can try creating a new presentation to see if this is issue persists with a different file. If it does, you can follow these troubleshooting steps to fix unexpected behavior in Studio 360.

Please let me know if you need additional assistance on this! Our team is happy to take a look at a project for you here, or privately through a support case. We will delete it from our systems when troubleshooting is complete.

Dear Kelly,

I run into this problem even if I create a new presentation.

I can see all the options you posted above, the Articulate tab looks just like the one in your screenshot. I can also click on the "Characters" button and choose "Insert character", but then, nothing happens. I saw in the trainig videos that normally a window would open with an offer of the different characters. In my case, this window is not opening.

Thank you for pointing me towards the troubleshooting steps. I will try to follow them and if the problem persists, submit a support case.

Thanks for your help!

Hi, Johanna.

In my case, this window is not opening.

Are you using a second monitor? If you are, it's possible that the window is opening (or attempting to open) on the other screen. It might be a good test to unplug the second monitor to see if the window will pop up.

Let me know if that works!
