Using flash buttons in the Presenter panel...Help!

Apr 12, 2011

I'm pretty new to Articulate, and I'm working on creating some standards for the eLearning developed in Articulate at my company. One of those standards is the sidebar. Basically, we want to have limited navigation by only allowing our learners to navigate to the beginning of each module rather than picking a single screen in the outline.

Since Presenter doesn't seem to have a setting that will allow this, I'm hoping that I can remove the outline completely (this part I figured out already) and place some flash-based buttons in the presenter panel that will link to the first page of each module. I figured out how to create the buttons using a Screenr video that was recently posted to the Word of Mouth blog, but I can't figure out how to get the buttons to fit in the presenter panel. For some reason, there's only a tiny square area where the image of the buttons goes and the 'bio' and 'email' buttons are still there.

Is there an easy way to fix this problem? Is what I'm trying to do even feasible? Thanks for all suggestions in advance...
