Using Four Quizzes in One Presentation

Feb 10, 2016

I have an presentation that I have been working on- it has four modules with one quiz per module.  The issue that I am having is that if an employee completes one module and then leaves the training for a while, the employee is acquiring the credit for the entire training.  I need to make sure that employees get through the entire presentation (all four modules with the quiz) before getting an acquired status.  What can I do to tie all of the modules together into one acquired status?

Thanks!

Hi Jill!  Thanks for reaching out.

It sounds like you are including 4 quizzes in one presentation using Presenter.  You will have the option to track either by slides viewed or by a single quiz as described here.  That article describes 2 unsupported workarounds if you need to track all four of those quiz scores.  Let me know if that helps!

How do I do the first option?  Not sure about web objects.  Is the SSP easy to follow?  I'm new to the Articulate software and most of what I'm learning is self-taught.  I want to know if the SSP is very self explanatory.  I don't have time to learn a whole new software set-up.  The first option sounds like it could work and I've learned Articulate pretty well.  Thanks!

Hi Jill! Looks like Crystal was sharing the web object information in response to your asking about that method. Again, the items in that documentation are not supported methods by Articulate and if anyone in the community has a method they can share, hopefully they will chime in.

Here are some other ideas if needed:

If you need all 4 quizzes tracked, I would recommend creating 4 different modules.

Or, if you only wish to track by one quiz, I would set up a restricted linear course and track by the final quiz in your LMS.

You can restrict navigation in the menu, not allowing user to skip around.

Set the quiz properties to only allow the user to leave the quiz when quiz is passed.

Track via the final quiz when you publish to LMS.

Thanks.  I have created four different modules but don't know what to do from there.

I have restricted navigation.  With the quiz properties, I set the learner to leave the quiz after a try has been attempted because I want them to be able to go back and find the answer to the question if they missed any.

My issue is that the LMS is showing that the learner acquired credit for the course if they go out of it and then back into it. I am being told by the LMS admin that this is an Articulate issue.  With other inquiries on this site, it sounds like it is.  The LMS is giving learners credit for the course even if they have finished just one quiz of the module.

I need to fix this and ensure that they have done all of the modules before getting credit.

What would I do if I created four modules?  How can I tie those together to ensure that learners have to pass all four courses to get credit.
