Video and narration

This is the first time I have tried to add a flash video in an Articulate Presenter module. I am having trouble. I just published and I don't get the video or my narration that I recorded. (My video does not have sound, it is just a video of a tornado and I narrate the slide while that is playing.) I have no idea what I did wrong. The original video was a .mov but I used Video Encoder and made it a flash and then added that flash version.
Any suggestions on what I need to look at or do differently to get my narration and the video?
Thank you,
Sheri

I just tried to add the video on its own slide without my narration, and I still don't see the video. Ugh. I wish I was smarter about this stuff!
Sheri
does the video play in the Add Flash preview window? The one where you tell it where to play in window, how to advance, and if it should be synched to the seek bar?
Hi Sheri,
The first thing I would do is make sure that you are not working on a network drive or publishing to a network drive. Working on a network drive can cause erratic behavior and is not recommended. Regardless of where your files are, here's what I would do:
1. Create two new folders C:\Articulate and C:\Articulate Publish.
2. Open the PowerPoint file and do a Send To Articulate Presenter Package.
3. Quit PowerPoint.
4. Copy the zip file you created in step 2 to C:\Articulate
5. Right click the file and select Extract and follow the steps to extract the contents of the zip to a new folder in C:\Articulate
6. Open that folder and open your PowerPoint file.
7. Remove the FLV placeholder from your PowerPoint.
8. Add your FLV following the steps outlined here:
http://community.articulate.com/tutorials/products/adding-a-movie-to-a-slide.aspx
9. After you have finished, save the presentation and publish to C:\Articulate Publish.
If you continue having difficulty after doing the steps above, please send us your project files by following the steps here:
