Video controls shows only in Mobile not in Desktop

Aug 14, 2014

Hi guys,

I've added video on slide then enabling video controls (Please see screenshot below)

But what happen is I got two video controls if viewing in mobile. (Please see screenshot below)

So what I did is I turned off the Play/Pause button and seekbar of the Articulate player. (Please see screenshot)

Viewing in mobile is OK BUT viewing on Desktop I got no video controls on the video.

Is this another bug?

Please help:(

Hi Michael,

Thank you for this simple but very informative message.

This is noted! So does this means that Articulate Studio 13 is not yet advisable/ready to be use in Android devices?

Very much appreciated if can make these things clear.

Again, thank you Michael.

Looking forward for your reply again.

Hi Erwin, as mentioned earlier, Android is not officially supported yet (see some info here). Depending on the device and Android OS version, your content may work. Most of the issues users report, seem to be related to audio and video. Also, since a lot (not all) of Android devices still support Flash, you may be able to use the Flash version of your published output.

Hi Michael, actually we only need a basic player for our videos and links (youtube and vocam). I've tested different authorin tools like Adobe Captivate and Presenter, fortunately I found these features in iSpring. (Please see screenshot)

So basically, I think I found the tool that we will use for this kind of eLearning modules. For interactions/interactivity, I'll use Articulate of course .

Again, I want to thank you Michael because with your confirmation, I will be still digging and digging until now.

More power Bro!

If you can do this feature as well.. Surely well purchase more license to you :)

By the way can you say something on this another issue/ticket that we have posted in your forum

Hi Michael,

I just want to ask if you already have news or any developments regarding Articulate's support in Android?

Looking forward to hear from you again.

Thank you!

Best Regards,

Erwin

Hi Erwin,

Studio '13 does not yet offer support for Android - but it's something you're welcome to submit a feature request for.

Actually, I've already submitted a feature request on this and still no reply. You may refer on this[ ref:_00D30Txo._50040dFeoY:ref ] from Adrian Dean's email.

I't will be a big help if you can give us an updates about this.

By the way, How bout Storyline 2, does this feature is supported in Storyline?

Thank you in advance Ashley.

Best Regards,

Erwin

Hi Erwin,

Yes, Storyline 2 does allow for Android support as detailed here in the system requirements.

Typically, the feature request emails are not replied to, unless our team needs additional information or to share that it is already a feature. They are filed for our product development team to review though. We don't announce when or if new features would be included in the next version or update.
