Video hangs at the end

Jan 19, 2012

Hey,

I'm just wondering if there is a way to stop a video hanging at the end, sometimes it will take ten to fifteen seconds just to be able to get the play button to flash so the person can go to the next slide. Any help would be much appreciated!

Hey Garreth, welcome to Heroes!

Have you had a chance to review our Flash movie best practices? Most common issues can be fixed by making some simple changes:

If you are unable to get the issue resolved, I'd recommend you send us your files so one of our support engineers can take a closer look. To do that, please create an Articulate Presenter package, then upload the zip file to our server. You can review how to do this here:

Send to Articulate Presenter Package – Articulate Presenter ’09 Help

Upload the resulting zip file from your computer to our server using this upload form:

Please be sure to include a description of your issue, your version of PowerPoint, version of Windows and version of Presenter '09, which you can find in Help and Support -> About Articulate Presenter. Please also include the URL for this thread so I can follow up with you personally in the forums. Thanks!

Hi Garreth -

You may have already solved your problem, but recently I had a similar problem, but my slide was playing exactly twice as long as the video.

I deleted the slide and re-created it and all was well.  Somehow when I updated the movie and placed the new file on the same slide as the first version, both copies of the video were still there.

This might not be your problem, but it's easy to test, and sometimes fixes slides whose timing has gotten stuck.

Anne
