Video is Black

Sep 15, 2014

The Search function on the website doesn't seem to work here as no matter what I put into it, it finds nothing even just "video".....

So, I have published a presenter file but the video on slides is just a black box with no video or audio playing. however, the timeline continues along for a few minutes as if the video is actually playing. If I click the video black box when the timeline is moving along (with no actual video visible). The black video must pause as the timeline pauses and when I reclick on the black video screen, the timeline resumes.

any ideas? I have tried two different computers to play the published output, run it off the computer that published it and run it on our LMS off the web.

suggestions?

Thanks!

Hi Declan!

The search function on the website is something we are aware of as causing issues for some of our users and our web team is working to improve this soon

In the meantime, I would suggest utilizing ArticuSearch as many of our users are finding this helpful.

As far as your video issue, what type of video are you adding and how are you trying to view?

Be sure that you are publishing and sharing the content as explained here.

I know that we have some documentation specific to YouTube and HTML5 output.

There are two methods for inserting YouTube videos into Articulate Presenter '13 content. YouTube videos added via the Insert > Video > Add Slide Video From Website option won't work in HTML5 output or the Articulate Mobile Player app for iPad, because they're wrapped in a Flash control.

To view YouTube videos in HTML5 and the Articulate Mobile Player, add them via Insert > Web Object.
