Videos encoded in Articulate Video Encoder out of sync.

Feb 22, 2011

Hi All,

I'm new to the forums, but I've been using Articulate for several years now.  I have a small problem that I hope someone can help solve for me.  I am encoding H.264 video with Articulate Video Encoder.  The videos play fine in the flash player by themselves, but when I insert them into Presenter, they are slightly out of sync.  Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks for your help!

Mike

Hi Michael & welcome to Heroes,

The Articulate Video Encoder converts files to the FLV format.  However, Articulate is already compatible with H.264 MP4 files.  Is there any reason why you're converting the file with AVE before inserting it into Presenter?

In regards to your issue, click on the Articulate menu in PowerPoint and then select Presentation Options.  Click on the Publish tab and verify that your "Publish slides at X frames per second" is set to 30.  Also, make sure that your video is 30 FPS and not 29.97.

If you continue to have issues, I would suggest you submit a case by following the steps below.

Please create an Articulate Presenter package, then upload the zip file to our server. You can review how to do this here:

Send to Articulate Presenter Package – Articulate Presenter ’09 Help

Upload the resulting zip file from your computer to our server using this upload form:

Please be sure to include a description of your issue, your version of PowerPoint, version of Windows and version of Presenter '09 which you can find in Help and Support -> About Articulate Presenter. Please also include the URL for this thread so we can follow up with you in the forums.
