Narration is recorded in my Articulate presentation. I have a version of it published and loaded in my LMS and the audio is playing fine.
I opened up my source file to make some edits, and my audio editor is blank. When I preview my presentation, each slide plays for the length of the audio, but I can not hear the audio.
If you are working in Presenter '09 and notice that your audio is missing, please review this article, which outlines reasons and solutions.
Also, be sure that your presentation is located on your local hard drive (your C: drive). Working on a network drive or a USB (external) drive can cause erratic behavior, including loss of resources.
Please let us know if you need anything else. Thanks!

Thanks for the helpful info. The issue was the -old.ppta file. I was able to recover the audio. Let's hope it stays put!
Glad to hear it, Cathy!
