Where did this weird flicker come from?

Jul 26, 2012

I have been using Articulate Presenter '09 for a couple of years now.  I tend to repeat the last image(s) on one slide to the next slide before they fade off so that the transition between slides is seamless.  This works wonderfully!  Or it has.

I'm working on a training now and when I publish it, the "transition" between slides kind-of pops or flickers.  The image disappears and reappears enough to kind-of give your brain a jolt.  I have re-synched and re-published multiple times at this point.  And now it's appearing in different areas of the training than it did when I first published and noticed it.  I can't get them to completely disappear. I've done nothing different than previous trainings where it works perfectly.  Any ideas on how to get this to stop after publishing?

I'm publishing to a CD training and have even modified various settings like the lossy, refresh rate, etc.  Nothing has worked, and like I said, every time I republish the "pop" or "flash" happens in different locations.

I need to get this training out SOON... any help is greatly appreciated!!!!

Thanks!

Kelly

The location of your temp files will be a little different depending on if you are using Windows XP or Windows 7, and if you are on a network system, etc.

I use WinXP and my temp files I delete are located:

C:\Documents and Settings\myusername\Local Settings\Temp

I also delete the Presenter Project files when I find things aren't publishing correctly. Sometimes that helps, sometimes not.

C:\Documents and Settings\myusername\Application Data\Articulate\Presenter\Project

I am using Internet Explorer 8, and to clean the cash I do this:

On the top of the internet explorer menu click on "Tools". Then click on "Cache", and then click "Clear Browser Cache".
