Who can view Articulate Files?

Sep 20, 2016

My entire training team has Articulate.  Half of us have Presenter and the other half has Storyline 2.  We all have Replay but we have different versions of it.  We cannot see each other's Replay files.  I'm concerned because although I wasn't surprised that we cannot edit each other's files, I am worried that we cannot even view each other's files.  What does our target audience need to view our courses?  Do we need special licenses for them to see our courses?

Hi Robin!

I'll use Presenter '13 as the example since this is where your question has been asked.

As far as your target audience, you should be publishing and sharing the content with them as explained here and you would simply want to be sure that the users are viewing in a supported environment as defined here.

When working on an Articulate Presenter '13 course in a collaborative environment with other developers, use this workflow to avoid file corruption, loss of resources, and other erratic behavior that can occur due to network latency.

Are you and your colleagues all running the same update version of Replay?

I'd be curious is you had a .replay file to share so that I could take a look.

I've tried this workflow and what happens when I attempt to share it with my subject matter expert for review, the quizzes and interactions show up just as a flat picture of what I see as and Articulate user.  I want them to be able to click through the interactions and quizzes to review all content, but they can't.  What am I doing wrong?  We've so far figured out how to zip, send and store the course files between admins, but now when I want to sent it to an end user to review, they can't see all the content.

Help!
