I just added a multitude of slide masters to PP2010. When I publish a course, will that slow down the publish time? I know that using slide masters for items you use a lot within a presentation will speed things up, but I was curious if have a boat load of slide master options would affect anything.
Hi Dave! Only the slide masters that you actually apply to your course will be used when publishing - Presenter ignores the rest because it doesn't need them. So, having unused slide masters shouldn't affect your publishing time at all.
Dave - in addition to JBs reply, keep in mind that the same rules for shapes and objects apply in slide masters. The more vector shapes and objects you have on your slide master, the longer it will take to publish.
Of course the big tradeoff is that the more objects you can move from slides to slide masters will dramatically decrease the time it takes to publish. If you have any questions on ways to streamline your files, please feel free to post a sample.

Thanks Dave.....I may do that. I am working on a new project at the moment and could use a little direction on some of the finer point.
Cheers,
Dave
