Windows 7, Internet Explorer 9, and Microsoft 2010

Nov 07, 2011

I have been trying to use Articulate with PowerPoint 2010 and I consistently get locked up.  I was wondering if there were any known issues with any  or all of the following: Windows 7, Internet Explorer 9, or Microsoft 2010.

Welcome to Heroes, Lindsey!

What exactly do you mean by "locked up"? Any specific error messages or screenshots would be helpful for us to help get you up-and-running. Let us know what you're doing and when it happens- that sort of thing.

In the meantime, here's an article on the requirements for running Studio '09:

Another thing to keep in mind is whether you're running the 32- or 64-bit version of Office. Articulate is not compatible with the 64-bit or Click to Run versions of Office:

Looking forward to helping you resolve the issue. Thanks!

It is specifically when I click on Slide Properties.  I have to end the process and then I the following message:  Powerpoint exerienced a serious problem with the 'articulate presenter ribbon' add-in.  If y ou have seen this message multiple times, you should disable this add-in and check to see if an update is available.  Do you want to disable add-in?

Hey Lindsey,

Thanks for the screenshot! So, PowerPoint may attempt to disable add-ins, such as Articulate Presenter, after it experiences a crash or otherwise closes unexpectedly. If this is the first time you have encountered this message, simply click the No button, and proceed with your project development, checking to make sure everything is OK.

Also, be sure that your presentations, quizzes, interactions, and audio / video resources are located on your local hard drive (this is typically your C: drive). Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior.

If you continue to experience problems, you'll want to try uninstalling / re-installing Flash player.

Please let me know if this is helpful, and whether you continue to experience the issue. Good luck!
