Wipe effect issue

On my summary slide, I have text wipe onto the screen in red while it is being narrated, and then I use the effect to change the text color to black after the animation. It works flawlessly on all bullet points except the last one on the slide. That one never changes to black.

If I add an extra click at the end of that last bullet when I'm syncing my animations, it appears ok on the sync preview, but it doesn't seem to hold when I publish.

Any ideas??
