Words on top of each other when publishing.

Aug 21, 2019

I am having trouble with one particular slide when I publish the presentation. All of the words are on top of each other. When I preview the slide, it looks normal. Any suggestions?

Hi Dick,

We're here! Thanks for reaching out and sharing what you are seeing.

Would you be able to share your Articulate Package for us to take a look? Just point us to the problematic slide and we would be happy to help. If you cannot share it here in the forums, you are welcome to share it here privately. Your file will be deleted when troubleshooting is complete.

When I publish the presentation, the words are on top of each other. It seems to be the words that are in tables but some tables publish correctly. The tables that do not publish correctly, i changed those to pictures but the words are still on top of one another when I launch the CBT from our LMS. When I preview the presentation all the slides are correct.

Hey Dick,

Thanks for sharing those details. A few questions to help identify the culprit:

  • Which software are you using?
  • What browsers are you using to test the published output?

You can also feel free to share your file in this discussion by clicking the Add Attachment button right underneath the post, or you can also share it privately here.

Also, it looks like your email signature came through when you replied via email. You can remove that if needed by clicking ‘Edit’ beneath your response. Here’s a quick video if you need help.

Hi Dick,

I'm sorry you've run into this issue. Unfortunately, we've noted this issue to be a bug, and it's one that a handful of folks are plagued by. It seems like you've found a workaround in saving the table as a picture, though I find it odd that the words would still be jumbled after publishing.

If you'd like to work with our Support Engineers directly, they'd be happy to take a look at your examples, and that may shed new light on the issue! You can upload your project files at this link to start a case.
