I am working on a project that requires the section symbol (§). The symbol shows up in Power Point correctly, but when I publish, I get a pound symbol instead (£). I looked in the presentation.xml to see if the symbol could be modified, but it is showing the correct section symbol.
I just tested this and I couldn't duplicate with Arial. I'm guessing this is related to the font you are using. I would suggest substituting a different font and see if that makes a difference.

Hmmm.. I am using Arial as well. Could it be a version issue? I am using Powerpoint version 2007, and Articulate '09.

This works now if I use the customized bullet rather than insert an individual symbol.
