2 quizzes in one course, plus pooling

Jan 11, 2013

Hi all! I just need to know if this is not possible in Quizmaker '09. I'm building the quiz inside a Powerpoint/Presenter '09 course.

Basically, I have a course that I want folks to select their department and that selection will determine which of 2 quizzes they complete. To add to the mix, each quiz has a pool of questions from which, the user needs to complete 11 of the questions.

I tried creating 2 separate quizzes and having the user click an icon to take them to the correct quiz. However, Quizmaker is behaving as though they need to complete both quizzes to continue. I had it set so that they have to complete a quiz to move on (they can't leave in the middle of it).

Then I tried Jeanette's method here (which is fabulous!): http://community.articulate.com/blogs/jeanette/archive/2012/03/01/3-paths-in-1-quiz-possible-yes.aspx

That seems like it would work well, but with the pooling, it seems to be pulling from both question groups.  Each of the two groups is set to randomize and include 11 questions, but when I preview the quiz, it's pulling 23 questions (22 quiz questions plus the initial selection slide).

I can't share the course because it's highly proprietary, but any suggestions or information (no, this won't work with Quizmaker) is much appreciated!
