A Number of Questions

Mar 15, 2012

I have been trying to create some quizes and I am having some problems.

First, is there a way to NOT allow the student to review their answers ?

Second, now after the quiz is completed successfully, the review of the quiz is locked into a continuous loop and you can't get past it ???

That seams strange. Are you using an LMS?

To remove the option of reviewing the quiz you go into the pass and fail result and remove the review option. Also when the user is finished reviewing the quiz you should be able to exit the program. Your LMS should already have the score recorded. Another option is to add a slide after the quiz that is a finishing slide. I do this a lot for user peace of mind.

Thank you Zara for the quick response.

When I go to the Quiz Slide Properties there are three selections for:

"User may view slides after quiz"

None of the three is "Not to Allow"

In the Pass and Fail Section of the Quiz, I have both boxes unchecked to allow the user to review the quiz ?

As I said, now when the user passes it goes into review mode and you can not get out.

I am also using a player template that does not have any controls except for pause ...

It did initially work, and I didn't have this issue with the loop.

I don't have an LMS ...this is a industry course that they must pass all the quizes to get credit "manually" from our organization.

I have reviewed every setting possible and I can't see why once I complete the quiz correctly it goes to review and simply just loops through the questions over and over.

I have the following settings:

Randomize Questions to use 3 out of the 6 I wrote.

100% is required.

Only 1 attempt allowed.

I have the review checkboxes unchecked in the Pass/Fail options.

I have slides to which the user will go to if they pass and fail, but it still

goes through the review and then does not allow to get out of it.

It actually never makes it to the Pass Screen ,,, it just goes to the review.

If I intentionally miss the question, it does go to the Fail Screen and does not

go to the review routine.

Hi Tony!

Looks like you're already working with our support team on this. Can you give this a try and let us know if it'll work for you?:

1. Add a Blank slide to the very end of the quiz.
2. Select the Blank slide and Lock Question --> To Bottom of Group.
3. From the Include Dropdown, increase the intended number of questions to include by 1 (if 3 questions are wanted set this to 4).

Note: The above workaround will allow the randomization to work as expected, but will always show the Blank slide just before the Pass Results Slide is shown. If a wrong answer is given the Blank slide is skipped and the Fail Slide is shown.

You could add a simple message on the Blank slide instructing the student to select the next button. Alternatively, you could use the unsupported method provided at the following link to auto advance the blank slide.

Thank You Peter,

I will look at your workaround and also look more deeply at the branching article.

But my main concern was that it would go to the "Review" of Questions when the student got the 3 questions correct, even though

I don't want them to do this, or have the settings set to allow it ? It should simply go to the "Pass Screen".

If they miss a question, they immediately do go to the Fail Screen as they should,

Will your workaround have an affect on this ?
