Amount of feedback text for the standard Feedback window - Quizmaker 13

I use the defaulted feedback windows for correct and incorrect responses then just edit the text. I have received some quiz feedback that is so long, it reduces the font within the text box to almost unreadable.

Is there a way to set the properties on the feedback Correct/Incorrect so that the font size doesn't change if the text is lengthy, it would add a scroll bar instead?

I created a quiz before and did not alter the feedback properties at all and it automatically displayed a scroll bar. I though that must be the default properties but in my new quiz, the font just automatically adjusts to the text box size. I've tried increasing the size of the text box and that helped some but not enough.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Hi Alyssa,

Thanks for your quick response. I’ve used the feedback master before and made adjustments to other quizzes.

My question is how do I use the default that is already there and get the scroll bar to display? I chose to use the defaulted windows on other courses and the scroll bar “automatically” displayed but on this latest one, it doesn’t.

I have a series of courses with quizzes that need to have the same look and feel. 3 of those courses are already ready to publish so I don’t want to have to go back and change the feedback style that is already being used.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Hello Carla! Thanks for clarifying that. I am not aware of a setting that will make a scroll bar automatically appear if the feedback text is long. However, you can prevent the text from shrinking by right-clicking on the text box in the Feedback Master, select Format Shape, select Text Box, then choose Do not Autofit.

Then if the text is too long on a particular feedback layer, you can add a scrolling panel to the feedback layer on that slide.
