Assessment Creation

Mar 11, 2016

I'm trying to create an assessment with multiple quiz groups. In this assessment, students must get 2/10 questions correct in one quiz group order to progress to the next quiz group in the assessment. The issue is that the instructor wants the questions to be randomized and for the student to only be given 2 questions. If he/she does not get the question correct, then he or she must retake this portion of the quiz before being able to move on. In addition the instructor only wants the final quiz grade to be reported to the LMS gradebook (Blackboard). I'm having difficulty with the "2 correct questions before moving on" issue. There will be several questions/topic and a total of 4 topics. I'm trying to make this as simple as possible so that we can use this activity as a template for future projects.

We are trying to use the excel spreadsheet to import questions into quizmaker/storyline 2 - either quizmaker or storyline 2 will work for our purposes.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, Bethany -- Thanks so much for reaching out with your question! While the following may not be exactly what you have in mind, you might want to consider some of the options presented below:

Multiple Question Bank Randomizer

random draws from multiple banks

Is it possible to pull questions from multiple question banks to create a single quiz?

Otherwise, I'd like to defer to the community to stop in to suggestion options for what you are trying to achieve, as well. :)
